An Advocate - Ella Gordon Latty

Ella was referred to the North Shore Children's Art Club as a very creative child with high interest in everything. She quickly became a leader and went with Shona Hammond Boys in 2003 to Washington D.C USA to the third World Children`s Art Olympiad where she spoke passionately representing the world`s children on the world stage on the American National Mall outside the USA Capital Building. Ella became the youth spokesperson for the NZCAHF travelling to Parliament and to Te Papa as a youth presenter and speaker at many national conferences. Ella presents original insight into the life and the creative needs of children. Ella attended Otago University and graduated with first class honours in environmental geographies, politics and cultures in 2012. Ella has studied and travelled in Brazil, Columbia, Central America and Europe in leadership roles. Ella was awarded the NZCAHF Emerging Artist of the year in 2006 for her outstanding advocacy for Child Art. Ella has worked as a policy writer at Waste Management and is now a consultant for Sysdoc and pursuing post graduate University studies in finance.

Ella wrote in the Childrens Art House comment book Art is the best place to go.
