A Portrait Artist - Lauren May
Lauren was a founding member of the North Shore Childrens Art House and admired by everyone for her sensitive portrait studies and her ability to capture human characters in small and fine work. Lauren did books of figurative and costume design drawing and was noticed first at kindergarten level. Lauren cleverly portrayed local people in the North shore Childrens Art Club commissioned Mairangi Bay restaurant mural. She attended Whitecliffe College of Art and Design Auckland where she graduated with distinction and then began her world travels as an artist commissioned to paint alongside many famous artists in mural work in Europe. Lauren also does large scale works and exhibited in Burning Man Exhibition, Nevada USA .

Lauren has a great sense of humour. She wrote in the Childrens Art House comment book. The Art House is wonderful because you can just be yourself. You can do whatever you want to do without worrying about what other people tell you to do.
