A Horse Whisper - Eric Collier

Eric lives in Opotiki and attends Ashbrook primary school. By ten years old Eric had trained and owned five horses and won Opape beach horse race open competitions where he holds the records for Horse racing. Eric played the leading role of Victory in the film Oku Moe Moea, The dream which is bigger than I am, and went to Washington to the World Childrens Festival and 5th Art Olympiad in 2015. The theme was, A creative mind and a healthy body. To raise money to go to Washington Eric organized horse racing along the Opape beach. Eric is an all rounder, a leading sportsman for his region and he loves rugby, athletics, horses and art. Eric was awarded 2015 Emerging Maori Artist.
